Graduated in 1974 from the Institute of Asian and African Studies at MSU with a degree in oriental languages and literature with the qualification of Chinese translator and interpreter.
In 1988, she successfully defended her thesis on The Syntactic Properties of Disyllabic Structures in Modern Chinese, Specialty 10.02.22 - "Languages of the peoples Asia, Africa, and the native populations of America and AustraliaLecture Courses: “Fundamental Theories of Language (grammar)”

Research interests: Chinese grammar, comparative grammar, methods of Chinese language instruction, translation of Orthodox Christian texts into Chinese, dictionary composition
