A SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL “THE MOSCOW UNIVERSITY HERALD”, SERIES 22, TRANSLATION THEORY is published since 2008 Higher School of Translation and Interpreting (Faculty), Lomonosov Moscow State University. 

The Founder of “THE MOSCOW UNIVERSITY HERALD”, SERIES 22, TRANSLATION THEORY is Lomonosov Moscow State University. 

The journal covers different issues of translation theory and methodology, translation criticism, the history of translation, of modern translation studies both in Russia and abroad, as well as ways of enriching and expanding the knowledge in the field of translation and interpretation. The journal also deals with other aspects such as philosophical, social, semiotic, linguistic, anthropological, psychological, aspects of translation and interpreting activities as well as teaching translation and interpreting, stylistics, comparative terminological studies, computer-assisted translation (machine translation), documentation, etc.

The journal is published 4 times a year and is peer-reviewed. The reviewers are leading researchers in the field of Translation Studies from different research institutions and universities.

For postgraduate students the publication of their research materials is free-of-charge.

The Publisher of the Journal is The Moscow University Press. 

Editor in chief  Nikolay Garbovskiy, director of the Higher School of Translation and Interpretation, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Honorable Professor, laureate of the Lomonosov Prize for pedagogical activity (2004), Vice-President of CIUTI. An interpreter, a translator and a translator trainer, he is also the author of many articles and books  His main research areas are translation theory, methodology and didactics.
