Founder of the Higher School of Translation, MSU (2005).

Graduated in 1970 from the Military Institute of Foreign Languages majoring in foreign languages with a qualification in military translation and interpretation in French and Romanian.

Candidate of philological sciences (1989) in specialty10.02.20 - Comparative-Historical, Typological and Comparative Linguistics. Dissertation topic - Professional Discourses:  The Comparative-stylistic Aspect

Lecture Courses: "General Theories of Translation and Interpreting"; "Translation Methodologies"; "The History of Translation and Translation Studies";" Theories of Translation (Russian ↔ French)";" The Theory and Methodology of Interpretation"," French Stylistics”, “Introduction to Linguistics".

Research interests:  theory, translation theory and methodology, translation pedagogy, technical and specific terminology, contrastive linguistics, general and comparative stylistics, French language theories.
