Graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1968 with a degree in Romano-Germanic Philology and completed post-graduate studies in romance philology at Lomonosov Moscow State University

Candidate dissertation: A Comparative Analysis of French and Russian Interrogative Sentences (meanings and means of expression) in specialty 10.02 05-10. 02. 01 (romance languages – Russian), defended in 1979 at the Council of K-053.05.38 at Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Doctoral thesis: The Problem of Classifying Questions and Answers in Dialogs in specialty 10.02.19 - language theory, defended in 1990 at Council D-053.05.16 at Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Lecture courses: “Textual Theory”, “Fundamentals of French Language Theory", "The History of Foreign Literature".

Research Interests: language theory, contrastive linguistics, sociolinguistics, Russian among the Russian diaspora, textual history and theory, the theory and practice of translation and interpreting (translation of philosophy), lexicography
